Actress Zooey Deschanel, who has already won the hearts of dog devotees by adopting two rescue Rovers, recently won money for her favorite paws cause.
Performing pantomime in a Prince-themed game of charades on The Queen Latifah Show, the superstar host helped the New Girl star raise $5,000 for an L.A.-based rescue organization which is close to the star’s heart– The Bill Foundation, which introduced her to her two canine companions, Zelda and Dot, in 2013.
Established in May 2000, The Bill Foundation has rescued more than 2,200 dogs who had found themselves out on the street or in shelters. The following video tell the tale of Cara, a puppy with demodectic mange who received a new lease on life thanks to TLC from the rescue organization:
