This is the first year since Irie and Tiki have been with us that we’ve had a good crop of spring wildflowers. (We had a terrible drought…and no wildflowers…the past several springs.)
This year, though, we had a great crop of wildflowers and enjoyed photographing our dogs in the flowers. These photos are taken here at our house in a field of what’s locally called Indian Blanket or Fire Wheel (the scientific name is Gaillardia pulchell). With temperatures here expected to reach the upper 90s this weekend, the flowers will soon be gone so we hurried out to snap some photos!
