Wetnose Animal Aid to Embark on Operation Nowzad This Summer

Share with fellow dog lovers!

Helping to reach the goal of ending animal mistreatment, Wetnose Animal Aid is sending 250 soccer balls (British footballs) to Afghanistan for a project that combines sport with support for both people and pets.

In early July 2013 Wetnose Animal Aid will travel to Nowzad Dogs shelter with the footballs as well as t-shirts emblazoned with the words ‘kick a ball not a puppy’– a message with a mission to spread a passion for compassion to the children of Afghanistan.

During the visit, Wetnose Animal Aid– established by Andrea and Gavin Gamby-Boulger to provide both financial and information-based support to small and middle-sized animal welfare charities– will also film and report on the work of Nowzad, an organization which received the Hero Award at the Burgess Wetnose Animal Rescue Awards in March 2013.

For more information regarding Nowzad:

A charity which rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes stray and abandoned animals in Afghanistan, Nowzad was founded in 2006 by ex-Royal Marine Pen Farthing.
