We’re Sending a Guatemalan Child to School for One Year!

Hooray…we did it! Thanks to your purchases in our PawZaar.com store and your social sharing of our store with your friends, one child in the community of La Esperanza, Guatemala will be attending school for an entire year!

Many of our PawZaar products are produced by about 80 women who belong to Unidas Para Vivir Mejor, an artists’ cooperative that not only produces these fair trade goods but also serves its craftspeople with an on-site school, pharmacy, and more. The cooperative’s school system, which includes a Montessori preschool as well as elementary and junior high schools, serves the artists’ children as well as children of the local community but relies entirely on scholarships.

Thanks to YOU we have been able to fund the education of one child for the coming school year!

We’re so excited about this first donation by PawZaar. We’ve got three For a Paws Cause recipients that we’ll next be donating to–so stay tuned for more good news in the coming months! In the meantime, please visit our PawZaar store and join our PawZaar Movement!
