Traveling with Wet Dog Food

Rachael Ray Nutrish has sponsored this post, but all opinions are my own.

It’s travel season! After a few months of gray skies and chilly (for us!) temperatures, we’re definitely feeling the urge to hit the road with Irie and Tiki for some spring getaways. We just booked a trip to the beach for us all but this week we headed out to Lake Buchanan. As always, we pack Irie and Tiki’s everyday diet for our getaways (a long car trip is NOT the time for tummy troubles!) — so that means Rachael Ray Nutrish wet food.

I love the convenience of traveling with Nutrish wet food. It’s packaged in a reusable plastic container with a peel-off top so there’s no searching for a can opener. All the recipes contain enough gravy that no spoon is required if you decide to plate the food. The recipes include Beef Stroganwoof, Chicken Muttballs with Pasta, Hearty Beef Stew, Savory Lamb Stew (Irie and Tiki’s favorite), and Chicken Paw Pie™. (It’s also available in variety packs including Chicken Paw Pie™, Hearty Beef Stew and Savory Lamb Stew.)

But, because the container is large enough for our dogs, they can dine right from the container. No plates to clean!

When the meal is done, I freeze water in the container and pop it in the hotel fridge. A few hours later, our dogs have a frozen treat to enjoy!

Along with the ease of serving, I love that Nutrish contains whole foods–and no corn, wheat, soy, gluten, by-products, or artificial flavors:

As with all the Nutrish formulas, Rachael Ray’s proceeds from each sale are donated to homeless pets–over $10 million so far! This money goes toward food, medical supplies and treatments for pets waiting for their forever homes.
