Always ready to step up to the plate for a paws cause, baseball great Tony La Russa’s non-profit organization ARF (Animal Rescue Foundation) has once again hit a home run in the hearts of animal lovers by teaming up with the Salvation Army to help fill the plates of people and pets in need.
Through January 10, 2014 ARF’s Holiday Pet Food Drive will collect food for the Fidos and felines of families experiencing financial difficulties. Donations of unopened and unexpired dog and cat food (wet or dry) are currently being accepted at Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation, which is located at 2890 Mitchell Drive in Walnut Creek, California. Drop off hours are from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from noon until 5 p.m. on the weekends.
No matter your location, all dog devotees can make a difference this holiday season by donating pet food online at ARF’s virtual drive, found at YouGiveGoods.com.
All dog and cat food donations will be distributed to low income pet parents by the Salvation Army in Concord, California.
