Today show presenters past and present recently showed their support for a line of pet products that will help to create a brighter tomorrow for animals in need as Petco unleashed Jill Rappaport’s Rescued Me Collection by Yellow Dog Design.
Al Roker and his rescue Rover, Pepper; Hoda Kotb and her recently adopted four-pawed pal, Blake; Natalie Morales and her dog Zara, who was welcomed into the news anchor’s family following an adoption segment on the NBC morning news show; and former Today co-host Bryant Gumbel and his adopted dog Spencer gathered at the Union Square Petco store to meet fans and shine a spotlight on the one-of-a-kind, USA-made neon-colored dog collars and leads which will help raise funds for shelter animals through donations of a portion of the collection’s proceeds as they raise spirits by displaying such catchy phrases as “I’m a Pound Hound,” “I’m a Heart Melter from a Shelter,” “A shelter Cat is Where It’s At,” “Smitten By My Rescue Kitten” “Rescued Me” and “Opt To Adopt.”
A familiar face from her 22 years on Today, Jill Rappaport is the presenter of the morning news program’s “Bow to Wow” series, which has given countless canines and cats not only a makeover, but a second chance at life through pet adoption.
