Today we head out with Irie and Tiki on another of our staycation day trips this week. We’re headed to the lake with them, one of our favorite places during the hot summer months. It’s a chance for Irie and Tiki to cool off and swim with us and enjoy a summer getaway at very little cost.
It’s right at 100 degrees here right now, so we’re very careful to keep providing clean water (not lake water) to Irie and Tiki. We’re also extra careful to protect their paws on hot summer days. We recently shared with you how we use Snuggy Boots to protect their their paws from the hot asphalt and to protect soft paws if they’ve been swimming for an extended time.
But water and paw protection are just two important tips for pet summer safety. We have a fun infographic to share from Pet360.com for their #SummerOfPets Safety and Wellness week. They’re working to provide pet parents with the resources and products they need to have a safe and healthy summer with their pets. Their Chief Pet Parenting Expert, Rose Hamilton, partnered with SheKnows to compile a Summer Safety Tips infographic of their top recommendations.
