Country crooner Thomas Rhett, who has garnered a CMA Awards nomination for New Artist of the Year thanks to the response to his debut album It Goes Like This, has won the admiration of dog devotees for helping a soon to debut no-kill shelter’s efforts to create a new tomorrow for pets in need.
Proud pet parents to tail-wagging chums Cash (a chocolate Lab) and Kona (a Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog), the singer and his wife Lauren have made a donation to Redemption Ranch, chart-topper/MuttNation Foundation founder Miranda Lambert’s five-acre facility in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.
Redemption Ranch has also received the sizable sum of $15,000 from Lambert’s hit-making husband, Blake Shelton (The Voice), making him one of the shelter’s Platinum sponsors, TasteofCountry.com reports. (Sponsorship levels range from $1,000 Puppy Suite donations and $2,500 Pink Suite contributions to Platinum Suite donors who have contributed $5,000 or more to the paws cause.)
MuttNation’s Redemption Ranch will celebrate its grand opening weekend on November 21 – 22, starting on Friday with a private reception and tour of the ranch for sponsors, followed on Saturday by a day of family-oriented fun and adorable adoptables.
