St. Louis Rams defensive tackle Jermelle Cudjo recently had the opportunity to meet a team of dedicated individuals who strive daily to tackle the problem of pet homelessness.
During the holiday season the football star (who has an English Bulldog for a barking buddy) and his fiancee took a tour of Five Acres Animal Shelter and became fast friends with many the organization’s resident Rovers.
Far from the first sports star to show support for Five Acres, St. Louis Blues captain David Backes has highlighted a number of canines at the St. Charles, Missouri no-kill shelter through Backes’ Buddies, and now helps Five Acres and other animal welfare organizations through Athletes for Animals.
