Valentine’s Day may still be a day away on February 13th, but love for dogs and cats will take center stage as a recording artist who rose to the top of the charts in the 1980s with hits like “Taking It Easy,” “16th Avenue,” “Everybody Makes Mistakes” and “Hillbilly Girl with the Blues” raises her voice in song at a concert taking place for the sake of those who cannot speak for themselves.
A proud pet parent to six dogs, country crooner Lacy J. Dalton (who has previously used her star wattage to help wild horses in Nevada) will perform at “A SPARC of Love” benefit at the Discovery Ventura nightclub in support of Ventura County’s lone no-kill, open admission animal shelter, the Santa Paula Animal Rescue Center. The singer will be joined by recording artist Ryan Hinkle, the Fillmore Gazette reports.
Tickets: $35 general admission, $55 VIP tickets
When: February 13, 2015 at 7 p.m.
Where: Discovery Ventura nightclub at 1888 East Thompson Boulevard in Ventura, California
