Rock Concert to Help Saving K9 Lives Plus

A Golden Globe winner with a heart of gold, actress Dyan Cannon– who starred in such silver screen classics as Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice, Revenge of the Pink Panther and Heaven Can Wait— will act as host of a concert that will raise the roof for those who woof.

“Sing for the Voiceless” will be instrumental in raising awareness of, and funds for, Saving K9 Lives Plus– a non-profit rescue organization established in 2011 by Toto’s original frontman Bobby Kimball and his wife, Jasmin Gabay Kimball, to offer a new lease on life to companion animals who are facing their fate in kill shelters; have been relinquished by their guardian, or have suffered from abuse, neglect or abandonment.

On September 13th Dyan Cannon– who previously stepped into the role of host for a Saving K9 Lives Plus fundraiser in 2012– will emcee an evening of entertainment from an array of animal-loving acts. While the list of luminaries who is will take part in the event is not complete, the line-up already includes:

    • Bobby Kimball– original lead singer of the Grammy Award-winning group Toto (“Africa,” “Rosanna,” “Hold the Line”)
    • Spencer Davis– vocalist of the Spencer Davis Group (“Gimme Some Lovin”)
    • Annabella Lwin– lead singer of Bow Wow Wow (“I Want Candy”)
    • Ellis Hall– “The Ambassador of Soul,” lead singer of Tower of Power
    • Sean McNabb– actor (Sons of Anarchy)/bassist who has performed with Quiet Riot and Dokken
  • Mike Pinera– lead singer of Blues Image (“Ride Captain Ride”)/former guitarist for Alice Cooper, Iron Butterfly
  • Edgar Winter– vocalist of The Edgar Winter Group (“Frankenstein,” “Free Ride”)

Admission: $40 in advance, $50 at the door

When: September 13, 2014 Doors open at 6 p.m. ; show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Where: The Arena at The Grand Vista Hotel, Simi Valley at 999 Enchanted Way in Simi Valley, California
