As you all know, John and I love to take photos of Irie and Tiki. After many years specializing in travel photography, we now love photographing our pets. When we can combine our passions for pets and travel in a fun travel photograph, such as Irie and Tiki in a field of Texas bluebonnets, it makes the photo extra special to us.
But don’t you have thousands of photographs of your pets that you can’t easily enjoy? We love the ease of digital shots but, let’s face it, we’d like to show visitors to our home REAL photos of the most special moments in our lives.
We recently had the opportunity to order a Treasured Friends Keepsake Plaque of Irie and Tiki. These plaques transform a photo of your pet into an elegant porcelain keepsake. Printed with fade-resistant UV inks, the plaque is ready to hand or display on a stand in your home (or you can even hang it outdoors in a protected area, such as a covered porch). Plaques come in two sizes and a variety of styles.
The process was easy. First, we selected a photo of Irie and Tiki that we liked. We started with this photo:
The image we chose is bright and colorful; the file we sent Treasured Friends was high resolution, which is important for clear printing.(Lower resolution photos can also be used and transformed into a painting-like image.)
Next, we needed to select the layout: horizontal or vertical. Treasured Friends has numerous templates from which to select.
Within a few days, we had two proofs from which to choose:
As you can see, the top image is more like a photograph; the bottom image is more like a painting. I selected the top image but that’s totally just a matter of personal taste.
Irie and Tiki’s names are on the place; all plaques are customizable with a photo, name and optional date. Some of the design templates can include up to 40 characters of text.
Within a few days of approving the proof, our plaque arrived, all beautifully boxed and wrapped:
Along with keepsake plaques like this, Treasured Friends also makes memorial plaques. All are available for hanging or can be displayed on a stand and enjoyed for years to come.
A big paws up for Treasured Friends!
We received a Treasured Friends plaque to review; Treasured Friends is also sponsoring a giveaway.
