Are you looking for a holiday gift to deck the walls of a favorite fellow pet lover this season? Or maybe you’re looking for a way to showcase your own dog in a playful portrait in your home?
If so, you’ll want to have a look at Lord of the Pets, a company that produces high-quality, artist-grade portraits of your pet using one of your photos.
I recently had the opportunity to create a portrait of one of our pets. (You can opt for dog or cat portraits.) With five pets, the choice was tough but Isla, being the newest addition to our family, didn’t have any commercially-produced portraits in our home. I decided to create a portrait from a photo I’d taken on one of our recent bookstore outings of Isla with her head cocked to the side and a happy, relaxed smile on her face.
Next came the only hard part of the process: selecting from the MANY (100+!) options for portraits.
You can opt for movie posters, either framed or unframed:
Or perhaps your dog is more of a cover girl or boy? Opt for a magazine cover:
If you are a cosplay buff, don’t miss the many costumed options:
The list goes on and on (and also includes mugs, throw pillow, blankets, satin prints and more.)
So what did I select for Isla’s portrait?
I chose the “Sparta Dog Custom Portrait” which is an artistic rendering of your photo and which comes with a variety of background options:
And, as you might guess from DogTipper’s brand colors, turquoise is my favorite color so I chose it!
I uploaded Isla’s photo and within about a day I received a preview of the artwork for approval. You have the option of unlimited revisions but I loved the preview so I immediately approved it. About a week later, I received the finished product!
The quality of the image — as well as the canvas and backing — is amazing. The portrait is sturdy and ready to hang in my office, complete with a hanger.
Printed in USA on artist-grade stock, the image also has a scratch-resistant UV coating and acid-free ink.
I’ve already hung Isla’s portrait in my office where it fits in absolutely perfectly!
A big paws up for the custom pet portraits from Lord of the Pets!
DogTipper received a complimentary portrait for review; as always, our opinions are entirely our own.
