What it is: Premium treat strips for dogs

Manufacturer: Bixbi Pet, Boulder, Colorado (made in USA)

DogTipper Review: Bixbi Pet is a Colorado-based company producing dog treats aimed at specific canine requirements (thus the ‘functional” label). The Bixbi Functional Jerky product line includes a Hip and Joint formula and a Skin and Coat formula. Each jerky formula is produced in several different flavors:

Each formula contains ingredients intended to contribute to a dog’s health in those two areas. Hip and Joint contains Glucosamine (200mg/treat) and Chondroitin (100mg/treat) derived from non-shellfish sources, while the Skin and Coat formula contains anti-oxidants, vitamins and minerals conducive to skin health.

The company certifies that all of their products are sourced and produced in the USA. All meat sources are human-grade, and all the products are manufactured at an FDA-certified facility.

We were recently sent samples of each of the formulas in each of the flavors and have been letting Irie and Tiki sample them. So far, they have loved them all. The treats are fairly firm for a really good gnaw.

We especially love the fact that the jerky is made in the US from US-sourced ingredients and contains no soy, wheat, corn, antibiotics, or byproducts!
