Tiki Tries out the PAW5 Rock ‘N Bowl

As I mentioned in yesterday’s post about pet obesity, we’re working hard to help Tiki lose some weight. Although we’ve been diligent about making sure Irie hasn’t packed on any pounds since her TPLO surgery (which would put more stress on her knees), we’ve let Tiki get a little, well, fluffy. She needs to lose about 10 pounds.

While we’re trimming her food, we want mealtime to be more interesting and FUN for her. One way is with the new PAW5 Rock ‘N Bowl, an innovative way to make eating more engaging! This bowl is designed with a paw print impression on top, so it holds a bit of food to get the fun started. You’ll just pour the food right onto the paw print, where it then slides down a chamber and into the lower portion of the bowl. Here’s a look at my first try with the bowl:

As you can see, it’s as easy to use the Rock ‘N Bowl as it is a traditional bowl.

Tiki found the bowl to be FUN. She’s definitely a working dog; Tiki likes to be challenged. With Rock ‘N Bowl, it was easy to challenge her during mealtime as well. She tipped the bowl as food was dispensed from the holes at the bottom:

I’m happy to say that Tiki had a great time with the bowl, and we’re going to be using it for her twice-daily meals as we work to get her trim while, at the same time, helping her to enjoy her meal and slow down a bit. A big paws up for the Rock ‘N Bowl!

Here are some quick facts about the Rock ‘N Bowl:

  • BPA-free
  • Phthalate-Free bowl
  • made in the USA
  • created using a zero-waste process
  • made with FDA-compliant, recyclable plastic
  • holds up to four cups of food
