Just last week, we decided to take the Kurgo Collaps-a-Bowl for a test drive on one of our day trips. Along with Irie and Tiki, we headed to our favorite dog-friendly Texas state park: Inks Lake State Park.
Like its name suggests, this bowl collapses for easy storage (and even has a hole in the rim so you can hook a carabiner in it to attach to your day pack, purse, or belt loop). The bowl collapses down to just a disk, making it great for travel.
The wide bottom also means this bowl is less likely to be knocked over by your dog. In the car, we even used the Collaps-a-Bowl just partially opened so that the dogs had a little bit of water in the back of the Jeep in case they got thirsty, but not enough that it would be easy to knock over.
When we got to the lake, we headed off to our picnic and put the bowl to use both with food and water. (Yes, it’s important to carry your own water even on trips to the lake. You wouldn’t drink that lake water, would you? Giving Irie and Tiki a good drink each time before we went swimming helped them focus more on their swimming and less on drinking up the lake.)
Along with ease of use, I really loved that the bowl is BPA-free, PVC-free, and Phthalate-Free!
