DogTipper Review: We never leave home without some training treats for Irie and Tiki, even if we’re just taking a short walk in the woods behind our home. During the walk, we always stop to review some of their training; it’s fun for them and good practice. We use positive reinforcement for both dogs and reward them with lots of praise and, for behaviors they already know, occasionally with treats as well, bringing out the treats as a bonus to keep the training fun.
But where to keep the treats? Jeans pockets don’t do the job; it takes too long to dig in your pockets (and, when you forget the unused treats, you wind up with a gooey mess in the washing machine!) We love treat pouches for training to keep treats easily accessible.
Recently I had the chance to review two Pochettes (“Little Pockets”) from SnapDog Designs. I love these stain resistant bags not only because they’re functional but because they’re stylish. (Stylish enough to use as a mini-purse…even if there are no dogs around!)
The Pochettes come in three forms: Classic (with a belt clip), Pochettes with a fixed strap but no belt clip, and Two-Way Pochettes with a removable strap and a belt clip.
The clip on the Classic and Two-Way Pochette is strong…
…and I loved the fact that the Two-Way Pochette had an easy-off strap…
All of the Pochettes have a magnetic clasp, are washable, and are fully lined (so you can quickly empty out that treat dust and take this bag out for a night on the town with your credit card and cell phone!)
The size of the Pochette is just right; the Two-Way Pochette measures 5.5″W x 6.25″L. I especially loved the tiny charm on each bag like this faux leather Two-Way Pochette…
Finally, I loved the hands-free design, whether you use the clip or the strap!
The Pochette is a great way to carry your treats (or your own goodies if Fido’s at home) and look stylish at the same time. A big paws up for the Pochette!
For a Paws Cause: SnapDog Designs donates 5 percent of all profits to qualified, no-kill animal shelters and rescue organizations.
Price: The Classic Pochette is priced from $20-$22. The Pochette with shoulder strap retails for $27. The Two-Way Pochette with detachable shoulder strap is $32.
