Our dogs love good dog beds. (Let’s face it: with the number of hours they sleep each day, they’re experts on what makes a good bed!)

We love dog beds that they enjoy but also ones that look good in the house, are easy to clean, and are environmentally-friendly as well.

P.L.A.Y., named to Dr. Marty’ Becker’s “Becker’s Best” list of pet products, are super stylish and have so many great features going for them:

  • they’re 100 percent machine washable
  • except for a few models, they’re made with 100 percent natural cotton
  • the beds are filled with Planet Fill™, P.L.A.Y.’s trademarked filler created from certified-safe, 100 percent post-consumer recycled products–cleaned and recycled plastic bottles
  • the beds are manufactured in a facility that has been approved for making infant and child products so you know they meet high quality standards

Our dogs use the now-discontinued Greenery Bed from the Original Collection; its colorful design was created by French design studio Atelier LZC…but we just knew it said “spring” to us!

Our bed arrived just a few days after we made our selection, arriving, as the web site explained, in a minimum of packaging, another environmentally-friendly touch.

As soon as it hit the floor, Tiki was on the bed (before we could even remove the tag!) The five-inch-thick bed was super cushioned for her, and she settled in and enjoyed the new bed.

And, along with Tiki loving this bed (she hasn’t permitted Irie to give it a try yet!), several of our cats have checked out the bed as well, especially Coco, who had her eye on it from that first afternoon…

This bed gets a big paws up, from our dogs, cats, and ourselves!

2022 Update

We’ve had our P.L.A.Y. Dog Bed now for ELEVEN YEARS (which is hard to believe). It’s not the only dog bed in our house, so it’s not used around the clock, but nonetheless–it is still in use!

We’ve re-covered the bed but it keeps on ticking–it gets not only a paws up from our pets but from us as well!
