The past few weeks have been super busy as we’ve been working behind the scenes to make DogTipper bigger and better than ever. We recently reached the fourth anniversary of DogTipper and, as we start this fifth year, we wanted to refocus and grow the site.
One change you’ve already seen has been a fresh look on the home page with new graphics, a new Dog of the Day/Adoptable Dog of the Day photo gallery, and a more. We’ll be doing some additional touch-ups on the layout in the coming weeks, too.
A more recent change is our renewed emphasis on two topics especially close to our hearts: saving money and saving dogs. After the publication of our book Barkonomics: Tips for Frugal Fidos, we knew we wanted to help people in their quest to save money on their dog’s care while, at the same time, improving their life with their dog. In this difficult economy, we are all looking for ways to get the best value for our dollars.
And that search for value is something we’re going to be emphasizing more here on DogTipper, especially in our review section. We’ve still got a backlog of some products but we’ll be curating the many, many products available in the pet world to come up with those that offer real value. They may or may not be the least expensive items but they’ll be ones that last and enhance your dog’s life.
I’ve got many speaking engagements lined up and, as America’s Pet Economist™, I’ll be talking with the public about ways to save on all aspects of your pet’s care. I’ll keep you posted on all my speaking engagements so you don’t miss any!
Of course, for us, there’s no greater value for your money than in pet adoption. We’ll be increasing our coverage of tips on all aspects of dog adoption as we continue our very popular Adoptable Dog of the Day feature every weekday.
We’ve got some more new features to roll out in the coming weeks but, in the meantime, we wanted to let you know about all the new tricks that DogTipper has learned!
