He’s gained fame by capturing the cuteness of canines with his camera, and on November 1st Seth Casteel (Underwater Dogs, Underwater Puppies) will focus the attention of those with a passion for compassion on ways to help homeless animals when the One Picture Saves a Life tour heads to Charlotte, North Carolina.
The day of dogged devotion for our four-legged friends will include both Casteel’s tutorial for taking good shelter photos and a presentation by Jorge Bendersky, celebrity dog stylist/former star of Animal Planet’s Groomer Has It, who will offer tips for transforming a canine with unkempt fur into a pooch that’s picture perfect.
As 73 percent of all pet adoptions begin with an online search, the One Picture Saves a Life workshop aims to help both the public and shelter staff increase awareness of shelter animals by showing adorable adoptables in their best light.
Admission: Free (Registration available online.)
When: November 1, 2014 A presentation for the public will take place from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.; a workshop for shelter staff and volunteers will be held from 12:30 p.m. – 4 p.m.
