Since its debut in 2012 the documentary series Paul O’Grady: For the Love of Dogs has won both numerous television awards and the hearts of dog devotees in the UK, who are anxiously awaiting the show’s third season to be unleashed on ITV September 4th.
Starring comedic canine enthusiast Paul O’Grady, the BAFTA-nominated series will once again shine a spotlight on the stories of a few of the approximately 400 Rovers residing on any given day at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London and at the charity’s branches at Brands Hatch in Kent and Old Windsor in Berkshire.
Over the course of 11 episodes the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home Celebrity Ambassador (and doting multi-pet Dad whose fur family includes Eddie, a chihuahua mix adopted from the renowned animal welfare organization) will introduce viewers to Lola, a Bulldog who refuses to let her bad eye cloud her vision of a future spent with a forever family; a senior Shih Tzu battling health problems; a Labrador Retriever named Ashley, who is a new mother to a day-old litter of pups; Grommet, a Jack Russell Terrier trying to get in shape after his penchant for eating cheese has led him to pack on the pounds; a canine who lands a cameo on the popular soap opera Coronation Street; and Roxy, a Rottweiler mix who arrived as a stray, but who may have a pet parent.
The new season of Paul O’Grady: For the Love of Dogs premieres September 4, 2014 in the UK at 8:30 p.m. on ITV.
