Neko Case Films Best Friends Animal Society PSA

Share with fellow dog lovers!

Using her voice for those who cannot speak for themselves, a two-time Grammy Award nominee has struck a chord in the hearts of animal lovers with her new “Save Them All” PSA for Best Friends Animal Society.

The indie artist, who will soon unleash her new album The Worse Things Get, The Harder I fight, The Harder I Fight, The More I Love You, talks about the ongoing fight to save the lives of homeless dogs and cats in the video, and explains how people with a passion for compassion can make a pledge to help put an end to the euthanization of more than 9,000 companion animals each day in animal shelters across the country.

Each time this video is shared, the singer and Anti Records will make a $5 donation (up to $10,000 total) to Best Friends Animal Society.

“Best Friends Animal Society was one of the very first organizations to challenge the idea that killing animals in shelters was acceptable,” Case proclaimed in a statement, RollingStone.com revealed. “When they began, 17 million animals died every year in shelters. For nearly 30 years, Best Friends has been building life-saving programs, reducing the number of animals entering shelters and helping more and more find homes. Today, thanks to caring people like you, that number is down to four million. Now it’s time to save them all. Join Best Friends and me in this fight.”

A Best Friends Acclaimed Ambassador, over the years Neko Case has contributed a song for the animal welfare organization’s 25th anniversary CD and has visited the renowned rescue.

Niko Case is the latest in a long line of animal-loving luminaries who have shown their support for Best Friends. In recent months My Cat from Hell star Jackson Galaxy has promoted the organization’s sleepover program and Beth Stern, NASCAR’s Michael Annett and NHL star David Backes have paid visits to the sanctuary.
