Lucy Pet Products Prepares for Woofstock

Lucy Pet Products‘ Gnarly Crankin’ K9 Wave Maker, which wowed the crowd at the 2017 Rose Parade as part of the longest and heaviest float ever, will make a big splash with Canadian canines at North America’s largest outdoor festival for dogs, Woofstock.

Four-legged Moondoggies in the making will get the chance to display their mad skills on a surfboard when they step inside the 75-foot trailer, which is filled with 5,000 gallons of gently rolling water. Along with showing festival attendees that they are the raddest Rovers around, dog dudes and dudettes will also have the chance to fetch some totally tubular prizes and gain social media fame across The Great White North.

Celebrating its 14th year, each year Woofstock welcomes tens of thousands of pet parents and their fur babies to a weekend that’s doggedly devoted to our pals with paws. Along with free surf lessons aboard the Gnarly Crankin’ K9 Wave Maker, the event will also include:

  • a free lure course
  • a Fido-centric Fashion Show
  • the annual Running of the Pugs and Weiner Dog Races
  • a canine costume contest
  • an off-leash doggie play zone
  • vendor booths
  • the Rescue Village pet adoption area and much more!

A happening with heart, a portion of the ticket sales from Woofstock will be donated to the 15 rescue groups taking part in this year’s event– BOB Big on Beagles, Boston Terrier Rescue Canada, Boxer Rescue, Bullies in Need, Canadian Dachshund Rescue Ontario, Dog Tales, Fetch & Release, Happy Tails Rescue, Jack Russell Terrier Rescue Ontario, Love Animal Rescue, Pets Alive, Pugalug Pug Rescue, Team Dog Rescue, Toronto Humane Society and Westies in Need.

“We are really excited to bring Lucy Pet’s Gnarly Crankin’ K-9 Wave Maker up north and across the Canadian border to make new friends,” Joey Herrick, the founder of Lucy Pet Products, explains. “After so much success in the U.S. last year, we wanted to share the experience with Canadian pet parents, too. Participating in Woofstock, named the Best Festival in Canada, is the perfect opportunity to do just that. We can’t wait!”

How Lucy Pet Products Help Dogs and Cats in Need

Toronto, Canada is just one of the many stops on Lucy Pet Products “Wave Tour II,” which will visit 20 cities. The surfing tour will help to raise awareness of Lucy Pet Products, a family-owned and operated business which features companion animals care products with a cause. All of the net profits from sales benefit The Lucy Pet Foundation, a registered charity on a mission to end the euthanasia of more than 80,000 dogs and cats in the US shelter system each week. Founded in 2013, in 2016 the organization spayed/neutered more than 4,000 companion animals in need in the foundation’s mobile clinic. The non-profit is striving to place a Lucy Pet Foundation spay/neuter and pet adoption mobile clinic in each major city in the country.
