L.A. Kings Help Best Friends Animal Society Los Angeles

KingsOffering an asset to dogs and cats in need, through the Kings Care Foundation members of the L.A. Kings have recently raised both funds for, and awareness of, Best Friends Animal Society- Los Angeles.

In late March the NHL team hosted a Kings game to help the paws cause; helped adorable adoptables achieve their goal of finding pet parents during a mobile adoption event at a Kings practice; sold signed pucks on site, with proceeds benefiting Best Friends; and posed with some of the organization’s photogenic Fidos who want nothing more than to be treasured player in a forever pet parent’s home team.

Stepping in front of the camera with the canines was the Kings’ center and alternate captain, Anze Kopitar. Compassion is a passion for both the sports star and his wife, Ines Kopitar, who were among those to join with Athletes for Animals during the 2014 Winter Olympic games to help dogs in Sochi.
