Her days on Grey’s Anatomy may be over, but actress Katherine Heigl continues to save those in need through her real life role as an animal advocate.
During an interview on Anderson Live the star had the chance to meet seven Spots who recently received a new lease on life thanks in part to the animal-loving luminary.
Once facing their fate in a California kill shelter, 56 dogs are now waiting for forever homes at North Shore Animal League America (the world’s largest no-kill rescue and adoption organization, located in Port Washington, New York) due to a diligent effort by The Jason Debus Heigl Foundation.
The interview also included information about JustOnePet, a line of pet merchandise which which raises funds to offer a brighter tomorrow for homeless animals.
