She became a supermodel by stepping in front of the camera’s lens for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, but by stepping behind the camera to take photos of our four-legged friends in need (and by sharing her snapshots with followers on Instagram) Kate Upton has become a role model. A proud pet parent and dog devotee, the star of the 2014 romantic comedy The Other Woman will once again prove that true beauty comes from within when she acts as host of an upcoming pet adoption event.
On March 11th the famous Floridian will use her star wattage to shine a spotlight on Spots from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Animal Services during a Grand Slam Adoption Event, taking place at Space Coast Stadium (the Washington Nationals’ spring training ballpark) on a day when the Nationals face the Detroit Tigers.
Pitching the option of pet adoption prior to the first pitch of the game, the compassionate pop culture personality and the dogs who hope to score a ‘home run’ by finding a forever home will be at the Gate 5 Parking Lot by the main entrance to the stadium until the game ends.
Note: Potential pet parents to not need a ticket to the baseball game in order to attend the pet adoption event.
When: March 11, 2015, starting at 11 a.m.
Where: Gate 5 Parking Lot at Space Coast Stadium, located at 5800 Stadium Parkway #101 in Viera, Florida
