Currently starring as Miss Hannigan in the Broadway production of Annie, actress Jane Lynch will help to create a brighter “Tomorrow” for homeless animals in Southern California when she steps into the role of host for the eighth annual Race for the Rescues- Los Angeles.
A return engagement for the Glee star, who has previously helped runners make great strides for the paws cause with appearances at Race for the Rescues in 2006, 2010 and 2012, Lynch will set the pace for a day of play with a purpose which will include:
A 5k, 10k, 1k dog walk and kids fun run and couch potato race
A silent auction
Pet psychics
A canine costume contest
A DJ dance
Food trucks
Giveaways
Rockin’ Adoption Show and awards
Adorable adoptables from animal welfare organizations in the area

Thanks to the success of this Fido-friendly fundraiser, which has raised more than a million dollars since its start eight years ago, 2013 will also mark the start of Race for the Rescues Orange County. Taking place on November 10th at The Orange County Great Park in Irvine, the inaugural event will be hosted by a celebrity guests which will be revealed at a later date.
