The canine ambassador for Lucy Pet Products and The Lucy Pet Foundation will be among the totally tubular tail-waggers and cool cats aboard the Gnarly Crankin’ Wave Maker. which will be at America’s Family Pet Expo at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, California from April 28 – 30, 2017.

The sports-loving Spot will be joined by fellow Lucy Pet Products mascot Ricky the Rescue Cat, who will wow the crowd as he shows off his mad skills on a surfboard alongside his gal pal, Ethel.

The four-legged athletes will demonstrate their surfing abilities at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 5:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the world’s only mobile wave maker, consisting of a 75-foot trailer filled with 5,000 gallons of water and an automatic wave maker.

America’s Family Pet Expo marks the kick off for Lucy Pet Product’s twenty-city national “Wave Tour II,” which will also stop in Canada; Denver, Colorado; Seattle, Washington; Phoenix, Arizona and San Antonio, Texas.

“We never thought we’d be able to top last year’s Gnarly Crankin’ Wave Maker Tour,” Lucy Pet Products President Joey Herrick stated. “But I think we’ve done it! Never before have their been dogs doing tricks on moving surfboards, not to mention cats that can hang twenty with the best of them.”

Products with a Cause

The surfing tour will help to shine a spotlight on Lucy Pet Products, a family-owned and operated business featuring dog and cat care products with a cause. All of the net profits from sales benefit the ongoing efforts of The Lucy Pet Foundation. Established in 2013, the non-profit organization is driven to end the euthanasia of more than four million cats and dogs each year by working to place a Lucy Pet Foundation spay/neuter and pet adoption mobile clinic in each major city across the country. (In 2016 alone the organization spayed/neutered over 4,000 companion animals in need with one mobile clinic.)
