We’ve had a busy week here reorganizing after Saturday’s Barktoberfest and, on Monday, getting Jetty’s spay surgery. Before this year’s Halloween fun retreats into memory, though, I wanted to share last week’s fun getaway we enjoyed.
We visited the dog-friendly Elgin Christmas Tree Farm for their annual fall fun event. For the month of October, the farm focuses on harvest fun with pumpkin displays and numerous farm animals including the world’s sweetest pig…
…and a very curious sheep…
Irie and Tiki have visited the farm several times before but we’ve never had the chance to do one of the hayrides…until last week!
After a picnic lunch at the farm, we boarded one of the hayride wagons. Irie and Tiki were a bit unsure at first…
…but they soon figured out we were just along for the ride…
The hayride makes several stops along the way including one at a corn maze. (You and your dog can enjoy two other mazes at the farm, too.)
Thank you, Elgin Christmas Tree Farm, for being so wonderfully dog friendly!
