This week has been one of the coldest of the winter here–but we’re making plans for many days of travel in the coming weeks. We will be updating our Day Trips from Austin guidebook (Globe Pequot). This book, which features trips within a two-hour driving radius of Austin, was our very first book; the first edition came out in 1993 as a combined Austin and San Antonio area guide:
Eventually the book was divided into two volumes (there’s a lot to see in this part of the state!)
Between now and early June, we’ll be updating all the listings in our guide and adding some new day trips as well. As soon as our run of icy weather is done (maybe next week?), we’ll be hitting the road to see what’s new in some of our favorite destinations including places that Irie and Tiki always enjoy, like Enchanted Rock State Natural Area…
…Guadalupe River State Park…
…and resorts, like Canyon of the Eagles…
Our book is due in early June so we’ll be able to enjoy the bluebonnet season, too:
