Hunter Hayes Adopts Rescue Dog, Helps Warrior Canine Connection

Fans of country crooner Hunter Hayes have been singing the recording artist’s praises since he shared the happy news that he has adopted a second rescue dog.

Just weeks after wishing a happy birthday to his barking buddy Cole (a rescue from the Nashville chapter of Greyhound Pets of America) via social media, the chart-topper gave the retired racing greyhound the gift of a four-legged sibling as he welcomed Ella into his heart and home. A whippet/beagle with an adventurous spirit, Ella found her famous father while in the care of Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue, a primarily all volunteer non-profit in Middle Tennessee which united 934 dogs and 187 cats with loving families in 2016.

Hunter Hayes isn’t the first high-profile friend of Fidos to adopt from Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue. Dan Smyers from the country music duo Dan + Shay, who has volunteered at the non-profit, is a proud pet parent to two dogs from the rescue organization, and adoptable Spots from Proverbs 12:10 had the chance to lap up the limelight as stars in the music video for Dan + Shay‘s single, “Nothin’ Like You.”
