A platinum-selling recording artist with a heart of gold, Emmylou Harris– who is about to hit the road for tour dates in Europe– is also busy fine tuning an event that will help to put homeless animals in the Nashville area on the road to a brighter tomorrow.
While the list of doggedly devoted musicians who will take the stage for the third annual Woofstock at Fontanel fundraiser is still in development, the line-up already includes:
- six-time Grammy Award winner Amy Grant
- country music star Jamey Johnson (“The Dollar,” “In Color”)
- a special appearance by 14-time Grammy Award recipient Ricky Skaggs
Taking place June 7th at The Mansion at Fontanel in Whites Creek, Tennessee, the gathering of adoptable Fidos and music fans will benefit two good causes– Bonaparte’s Retreat Dog Rescue (named in memory of her late canine companion, the Emmylou Harris-founded rescue saves the lives of dogs in the Nashville shelter system) and Crossroads Campus, a life-changing non-profit which helps both people and pets in need.
Tickets: $20
When: June 7, 2014 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
