Joining forces with a Southern California rescue organization, two stars have moved heaven and earth to save the life of a dog who was one hour away from facing his fate in a kill shelter.
Like countless other shelter animals who have waited for their rescue, Bronx’s tale began with a plea posted online. Seeing the news that the one-year-old Pit Bull mix was in dire need of help, British singer Duffy– who rose to the top of the charts with her hit “Mercy”– donated $1,000 to Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue to pull the dog from Orange County Animal Care.
Bronx’s brush with fame has continued, as a second star who was looking to foster a dog has stepped up to give the pup a temporary home. Former MTV VJ Daisy Fuentes is currently caring for Bronx (and, TMZ reports, is covering the cost to get the Pit adoption ready), and fans of Fidos and famous faces can follow Fuentes on Instagram to see Bronx’s adventures as he waits for the day when he can star in the life of a forever pet parent.
UPDATE: In June 2015 Daisy Fuentes announced to fans via an Instagram post: #ADOPTED 🙂 It’s official. I’ve adopted @thebronxtail. I am his forever family. He is the best dog. So smart and full of love. And to think he was moments away from being killed just cause (supposedly) there was no room at the shelter. There are hundreds of perfectly adoptable dogs wanting to be rescued at your local shelter.
