We are SO honored to announce that we won a 2012 Pettie award for Best Use of Social Media! These annual awards from DogTime Media are given to pet bloggers in numerous categories. Along with a trophy (we’ll have photos next week!), each winner names a nonprofit animal charity to receive a $1,000 donation. As you’ll remember, we ran a contest with readers nominating charities in case we won. All the Petties finalists turned in their designated charities about a month ago, and we used Random.org to draw Animal House Rescue in Ft. Collins, Colorado, nominated by Misty W. On Friday night we found out that we won, so Animal House will be receiving a $1,000 check!
