Striking a pose for a paws cause, style savvy Spots will rule the runway alongside models displaying in the latest looks from two designers whose creations are always the toast of Tinseltown during the San Francisco SPCA’s inaugural Dogs on the Catwalk cocktail party and fashion show.
Taking place May 29th, fans of Fidos, felines and fashion can start off the evening by meeting adorable adoptables, sipping spirits served from a cocktail bar, nomming on vegan and vegetarian fare and tapping their feet to the beat of tunes performed by Frisco favorites Sit Kitty Sit.
After enjoying tasty treats, attendees can feast their eyes on red carpet-ready creations by designer Claire Farwell (whose dresses have draped the shapes of such stars as two-time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank) and luxury handbags by Jill Milan, whose Italian-made, cruelty-free clutches have accompanied an array of A-listers (like Jennifer Lawrence and Anne Hathaway) to star-studded events.
Along with couture-clad models, canines will also put on the dog for the runway show, stepping out in doggie duds by Scutte and Yap apparel. Ticket holders will be able to see the trend-setting tail-waggers in the Fido-tastic finery on large screens.
Following the show, pet parents can check out designs for their four-legged fashionistas from San Francisco-based Betabrand and accessories by Dogs N Ties, a compassionate company which creates scarves and ties to help homeless animals.
NOTE: Adoption fees will be waived during the May 29th event at both SF SPCA’s Mission and Pacific Heights Adoption Centers, with the free adoptions continuing on May 30th and 31st as part of Maddie’s Pet Adoption Days.
When: May 29, 2015 from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Where: San Francisco SPCA’s Mission Campus at 201 Alabama Street in San Francisco, California
