Are you looking to scare up a little fun for your dog this October? Why not treat your four-pawed pal to a Halloween-themed event that will get you both in the ‘spirit’ of the season! California

A Night in Muttley Carlo
Via Rodeo at 2 Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California
October 30, 2016 from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Rovers will rule Rodeo Drive during ‘A Night in Muttley Carlo with James Bone,’ a 007-themed Halloween party for a paws cause. Presented by Bow Wow Beverly Hills, join the boo-tiful people attending the Ian Fleming-influenced fete, which will include fun for attendees on two and four legs, with casino games, a silent auction, raffles, and a Halloween costume contest. The swank soiree will raise funds for The Amanda Foundation, a non-profit which has found forever homes for thousands of companion animals since its start in 1976.

Haute Dog Howl’oween Parade
Marina Vista Park in Long Beach, California
October 30, 2016 at 2:30 p.m.

Now in its 16th year, the Haute Dog Howl’oween Parade will be frightfully fun not only for the more than 500 Fidos who are expected to wow a crowd of thousands with their wardrobe choices,but also for adorable adoptables who will be looking for forever pet parents to love. A day of holiday play with a higher purpose, all of the proceeds from the parade entry fees will benefit spay/neuter programs, rescue groups, Operation Santa Paws and other charities.

Spooky Pooch Parade
Chicago Botanic Garden
October 29, 2016 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Always a treat for our tail-wagging chums, Fidos in festive fashions will file past the floral finery at the Chicago Botanic Garden during the annual Spooky Pooch Parade. Along with applauding a plethora of promenading pups, attendees can also check out pet-related products from area pet supply shops.

Massachusetts

Canine Promenade
On the Charles River Esplanade (on Fiedler Field) in Boston
October 23 from noon – 2 p.m.

The sixth annual Canine Promenade is sure to be a scream! Masquerading dogs can meander with their pet parents along a 1/2-mile parade route around the Esplanade, then enjoy an afternoon filled with Fido-themed fun that will include demonstrations, dog activities, giveaways, gift bags and vendor booths brimming with pet-related merchandise. The parade’s registration fee will raise funds to restore the Esplanade’s dog-themed art deco Lotta Fountain.

New York

Howl-O-Ween Bark Block Party
153 East 3rd in New York City
October 23, 2016 from noon – 5 p.m.

Spot can get into the ‘spirit’ of Halloween at Sean Casey Animal Rescue‘s 9th annual Howl-O-Ween Bark Block Party! Dogs in disguises can try to win prizes for Biggest Baby, Sassiest Singer, Top Dancer, Trickiest Pet and Best Costume while adoptable adoptables meet potential pet parents. The bash will benefit animals in the care of the non-profit organization, which has offered a new lease on life to homeless animals in New York City since 1998.

Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade Presented by Beggin’ and PetSmart
October 22 from noon – 3 p.m.

Pet parents in The Big Apple can show off their four-legged ‘little pumpkins’ at the 26th annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade Presented by Beggin’ and PetSmart. Considered the largest dog costume parade in the world, Giuliana Rancic will be the celebrity emcee for the event, which will also include adoptables from Bide-A-Wee, Friends of Animal Rescue, Grateful Greyhounds and the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals.

Texas

Dogtoberfest Austin
October 15 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
At The Domain in Austin, Texas

Giving canines in The Live Music Capital of the World something to howl about, Dogtoberfest Austin (which has been dubbed the “Most Awesome-ist Pet Related Event” in the city for six years in a row) is a fall fete that includes not only a canine costume contest, but also a 1K DogtoberTROT, Wiener Dog Races, a demonstration station, a silent auction and a raffle, all to help area dog rescue organizations. Since its start the autumn pooch party has raised more than $215,000 for paws causes!
