For the seventh year sports-loving Spots will huddle at Fair Park’s Cotton Bowl Stadium as the Friends of Fair Park unleashes Dog Bowl at the Cotton Bowl— a free day of play that’s never fails to score a touchdown in the hearts of dog devotees.

Activities

• pet/pet parent look-alike contest
• pooch portraits
• the chance to talk with trainers and veterinarians
• shopping  for pet products among vendors booths
• special pricing on vaccinations and microchipping, thanks to Luv My Pet
• giveaways
• canine crafts
• misting ponds and “dip and sip” splash pools to keep canines cool
• toe-tapping and tail-wagging music by jazz bassist Barri Pearson

Looking for a new four-legged friend for your home team? Adorable adoptables from area rescues, local dog clubs and animal welfare agencies will be in the Woofstock ‘tail’gating zone outside the entrance of the Cotton Bowl.

Admission: Free (The City of Dallas charges $10 for parking within the gates of Fair Park, or ride the DART Rail Green Line to the Fair Park Station. Non-service animals are allowed on DART Rail Green Line only if they are in crates.) Pet guardians will be asked to observe all current City of Dallas Dog Park policies while at Fair Park.

When: April 7, 2013 from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Where: Cotton Bowl Stadium at Fair Park at 3750 Cotton Bowl Circle in Dallas, Texas

Note: Your Spot can enjoy time in the spotlight if your video is the winner of Fair Park’s Facebook Canine Contest! Just capture your four-pawed pal in a funny moment or performing a trick on video (less than three minutes long) and post it on the Dog Bowl Facebook page by March 29th. The most creative video with the most Facebook likes will play on the Cotton Bowl Jumbotron during the free Dog Bowl on April 7! The winning video also will be posted on fairpark.org and on the Dog Bowl Facebook page after the event.
