I decided to create a wreath using Milk Bone and Pup-Peroni. So that the treats can later be eaten, I didn’t want to use any kind of glue so I used a thin curling ribbon instead of the wide ribbon.
First, I used a platter to mark a circle on a piece of cardboard (with the supervision of our kitten Lucky):
Next I cut out the circle then drew an inner circle narrower than the Milk Bone treats I would be using:
After cutting out and discarding the inside circle, I then wrapped the wreath shape in duct tape, make the form more secure and giving the wreath a silver background.
I completely covered the form with duct tape (and there’s no need to be perfect; most will be hidden by the treats). Next, I cut two-foot-long sections of curling ribbon and tied each around the Milk Bone, then tying it onto the treat form. For the “bows” at the top and bottom of the wreath, I tied four lengths of Pup-Peroni treats together and then tied them to the wreath.
I cut another section of curling ribbon to use as a hanger then I curled all the ribbons and secured the wreath to the front door (way out of reach of the dogs!) This makes a fun gift for your favorite dog lover or favorite shelter and, when the holidays are done, a few simple snips of the ribbon and all the treats are ready to be enjoyed!
