Three platinum-selling recording artists with hearts of gold will set the stage for a better future for companion animals in need by taking the stage at the Aspen District Theater for an intimate evening filled with hits and hope.
Benefiting both Bonaparte’s Retreat Dog Rescue and Friends of the Aspen Animal Shelter (a privatized, no-kill shelter), “Sunny Came Home” singer Shawn Colvin, Country Music Hall of Fame member Emmylou Harris and John Oates of Hall & Oates fame will croon for the paws cause on August 10, 2014.
(Fans can also find out how they can break bread with the ground-breaking entertainers on August 8th at a patron dinner to be held on a ranch in Woody Creek Valley. Contact Friends of the Aspen Animal Shelter for more information.)
Known for her passion for compassion, 13-time Grammy Award winner Emmylou Harris, who was recently honored by Best Friends Animal Society for her years of animal advocacy, is the founder of Bonaparte’s Retreat Dog Rescue, which helps to save the lives of dogs in Nashville’s shelter system. Also a friend to those with fur, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member John Oates– who lives on a farm filled with rescued animals– has helped both Best Friends Animal Society and Friends of Aspen Animal Shelter in the past.
