Celebrity Catwalk Helps Dogs & Cats Affected by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma

Seamlessly weaving fashion with compassion, trend-setting tail-waggers will ‘put on the dog’ to help both New York rescue groups and canines and cats affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma at Celebrity Catwalk‘s annual celebration, Paws in the City.

The three-day holiday happening with heart begins December 9, with gathered guests sipping cocktails, nomming on tasty nibbles and vying for a plethora of raffle prizes at a reception held from 2 p.m.- 4 p.m. A four-legged fashion show follows at 4:30 p.m., with a display of Rovers rocking the runway in apparel by some of the biggest designers of canine couture in The Big Apple.

On Saturday, December 10, pet parents and pups can get in the spirit of the season at a Santa Paws Yappy Hour, taking place from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m.

To close out the weekend of Fido-centric festivities, Sunday, December 11 is another day of dogged devotion to canines and style, with a reception from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and a fashion show featuring dogs who dream of being Tyra BARKS or CLAWdia Schiffer.

This high-profile presentation follows in the paw prints of Celebrity Catwalk’s past star-studded soirees, which have been hosted by such animal-loving luminaries as Jamie Foxx, Nicole Ritchie, Heather Mills and Melissa Rivers. Proceeds from Celebrity Catwalk go directly to non-profit organizations.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio recently stated: “…Paws in the City is an entertaining way to encourage pet adoption and raise vital funding for animal rescue groups in the five boroughs and beyond. I applaud the participating shelters and everyone attending this wonderful event for their efforts to ensure animals in need receive the care they deserve as they enrich the lives of their human companions.”
