Carrie Ann Inaba to Host 27th Annual Genesis Awards

While only time will tell who will waltz away the winners at the 27th annual Genesis Awards, the news that Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba has been announced as a returning host for Tinseltown’s tribute to media coverage of animal welfare issues scores a perfect “10” with dog devotees.

“I’m delighted to have been invited back by The Humane Society of the United States to host this truly unique and inspirational event. We all need to be a voice for those who cannot speak out for themselves, which is why The Genesis Awards recognize those who have the power to spread the word about the issues affecting innocent, voiceless animals,” said Carrie Ann.

A proud pet parent to two dogs and four cats, Carrie Ann Inaba launched the CAI Animal Project in the fall of 2012. An official foundation which strives to save shelter pets, raise awareness and funds for animal rescue organizations and shine a spotlight on various animal welfare issues, the CAI Animal Project recently hosted its first event of 2013– a spay/neuter clinic at The Salesian Boys and Girls Club in Los Angeles.

Nominations for The Humane Society of the Unites States’ 2013 Genesis Awards will be announced in mid-February, with the annual awards benefit gala taking place on March 23, 2013 at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. Proceeds from the event will benefit three of The HSUS’s top animal welfare priorities: Pets for Life, Chimps Deserve Better and Farm Animal Protection.

Tickets for the 27th annual Genesis Awards Benefit Gala are now on sale.
