Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall Adopts Rescue Puppy

Once a puppy without a home, a three-month-old rescue dog will be treated like royalty from this day on thanks to her new pet parent, Camilla, The Duchess of Cornwall.

The Rover-loving royal, who has been a Mom to two Jack Russell Terriers called Rosie and Tosca, has welcomed into the royal family a tri-colored Jack Russell Terrier named Beth– one of more than 100 orphaned dogs who arrived at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in the month of July.

“We’re delighted that The Duchess of Cornwall has adopted Beth. Beth is a charming, confident little puppy and we know she will be very happy in her new home.” Battersea’s Chief Executive Claire Horton stated.

Her Royal Highness has a happy history with the UK’s oldest animal welfare organization. In October 2010 Camilla used her high-profile presence to shine a spotlight on the opening of Battersea’s new cattery as the renowned rescue site celebrated its 150th anniversary year.
