Bryan Bickell Helps Pit Bulls with Bick’s Pits 2014 Calendar

Sports-loving dog devotees who are counting the days until prejudice against Pit Bulls becomes a thing of the past can mark the months with a 2014 calendar that helps a paws cause.

Recruiting fellow Chicago Blackhawks players to pose with adoptable Pitties, Bryan Bickell and his wife (who are the proud pet parents of a Pit Bull named Bailey) have unleashed the Bick’s Pits 2014 calendar to raise funds for the Bryan & Amanda Bickell Foundation, which was established to shine a spotlight on dogs in need of forever homes; promote a positive image of Pit Bulls; teach compassion to the next generation through Pit Bulls in the Bullies Against Bullying program, and help the hearts of abused children heal through the love of certified therapy Pit Bulls in the foundation’s Paws for Strength program.

Patrick Sharp, Duncan Keith, Andrew Shaw, Jonathan Toews, Brandon Bolig, Ben Smith and Corey Crawford are among the professional ice hockey players who have offered an assist to dogs in need through participation in the calendar’s photoshoots.
