Things have been quiet here at DogTipper the last couple of days because we’ve been on the road! On Wednesday morning, we headed to Nashville, Tennessee for the first Pedigree Canine Nutritional Summit, a special event for bloggers. We left home an hour early to try to beat a cold front that was headed here (Austin doesn’t handle snow and ice well!) but all was fine at the airport. We left on time, after a quick de-icing of our plane:
That afternoon, we had so much fun seeing other dog bloggers we knew from BlogPaws, talking dogs and blogs with everyone, and visiting the Nashville Humane Association:
We toured this super facility (which we’ll be telling you more about in posts next week) and had the chance to meet some dogs and puppies like this cute chow mix:
When we left the shelter, we saw that the snow had really come down:
It was a long bus ride back to our hotel because of the traffic (we found out that Nashville and Austin have a lot in common when it comes to snow and traffic!) but it gave us a chance to talk with our fellow bloggers. The next day we headed down to Franklin to the Pedigree headquarters for a great day filled with lots of information we’re eager to pass along to you.
But first, we’ve promised a long hike to Irie and Tiki, who were as glad to see us Thursday night as we were to see them. Today the sun is out here and we’re off to enjoy it some with our dogs. More soon!
