I’m finally back!
I was never really gone…except offline. Thanks to a thunderstorm at the end of yesterday’s 97-degree day, the power went out for 12+ hours! It was one very quiet, still, hot evening! And, besides having no electricity, we also had no water. (We have well water so no electricity means no power for the pump!)
So, after an evening of sitting on the porch and watching the “lightning bugs” (a.k.a. fireflies) which seemed especially active in the yard after the rain, we waited…and waited… for the power to return. Today it’s finally back and now we’re in catch-up mode. As always, the dogs seem to have the right idea: why work so hard when you could just curl up on the bed for a nap. Who needs electricity?
