Do you have both cats and dogs in your household? We do (two dogs, four cats) and, for the most part, they get along great. Since Tiki is the most active of our two dogs, she has been taught that she needs to lie down when interacting with the cats, whether that’s playing with them or sharing a plate of food with them (which they do quite well!) or even eating near them:
They enjoy playing with toys together (especially Tiki and our tuxedo cat, Felix). The other night they loved playing with this cat toy, a twine ball attached to a mini-fishing pole:
With consistent training and close supervision during the first few weeks, you can share your house with both cats and dogs. We have a lot of fun watching their interaction and especially their playtime together!
