Danny Trejo Promotes Save Them All Campaign

Trejo:-I-Saved-My-Best-Friends He’s known by film fans for his portrayal of tough guys in big screen hits like Desperado, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Con Air and Machete, but the camera recently captured actor Danny Trejo’s soft side as he posed with two of his real life canine co-stars for Best Friends Animal Society’s Save Them All® campaign.

Trejo is just one of the animal-loving luminaries who has taken part in the photo campaign, which will feature famous faces alongside their rescued four-legged friends in support of Save Them All®– a call to action to end the euthanization of more than 9,000 dogs and cats each day in shelters across the country. Best Friends has brought increased awareness to how people can get involved in the solution by Adopting, and spaying/neutering their pets, donating, volunteering and sharing this message with their friends.

“I believe that anyone working with animal rescue has a special place in heaven waiting for them,” says Trejo. “I think the job that Best Friends is doing is wonderful and I am glad to be a part of the Save Them All campaign. Animals have an unconditional love for their owners; dogs are a man’s best friend.”

A proud pet parent to five rescued Rovers, Trejo has previously shown his support for the renowned animal welfare organization by attending the 2012 grand opening of Best Friends Animal Society Pet Adoption and Spay-Neuter Services.

Best Friends Animal Society operates the nation’s largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals, and offers life-saving programs in partnership with rescue groups and shelters across the country. Since its founding in 1984, Best Friends has played a vital role in reducing the number of companion animals who lose their lives each year in shelters from 17 million per year to approximately 4 million.
