Emma Kenney, who tugs at the heartstrings of TV viewers with her portrayal of Debbie Gallagher in the Showtime dramedy series Shameless, used her star wattage to shine a spotlight on dogs who deserve starring roles in the lives of forever families when she volunteered at the Best Friends Animal Society super pet adoption weekend in New York on April 27, 2013.
The adolescent actress took to Twitter to showcase some of the adorable adoptables at the New York event, which helped 360 companion animals find loving homes. A super pet adoption events also took place over the weekend in St. George, Utah, where 140 pets were welcomed into the hearts and homes of pet parents.
Best Friends Animal Society Los Angeles’s first annual NKLA adoption event will take place May 3 – 5 at the La Brea Tar Pits, and on May 17 – 19 Best Friends will hold a super adoption event at the Utah State Fair Park in Salt Lake City.
