Better Call Saul’s Bob Odenkirk Joins Best Friends Campaign

Actor Bob Odenkirk, known to television viewers as criminal lawyer Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad and the spin-off series Better Call Saul, has helped to tip the scales in favor of homeless dogs and cats by stepping in front of the camera for Best Friends Animal Society’s ‘I Saved My Best Friend’ campaign.

“Olive is the best dog ever devised. I challenge you to find a better one. Go, now, today, to a shelter…and hang out a bit. You will find the dog for you, as my wife and daughter did, finding Olive for our family. Our kids are teenagers, my wife and I both work, and Olive’s happy energy and sociability greatly lowers the stress level in our busy home. She’s magic. Save a shelter pet, they can save you, too,” the star stated.

Odenkirk, a two-time Emmy Award winning writer for Saturday Night Live and The Ben Stiller Show, is the latest high-profile pal to those with paws to inhabit the real life role of an animal advocate for Best Friends’ ongoing series of photographic portraits that promote the option of pet adoption. Other stars who have struck poses with the dogs and cats who star in their lives include:

Established in 1984, Best Friends Animal Society operates the nation’s largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals in need and offers lifesaving programs in partnership with rescue grounds and shelters form coast to coast. Instrumental in reducing the number of animal lives lost in the US shelter system each year from 17 million to an estimated two million, Best Friends is striving for the day when we can #SaveThemAll.
